Meet The Fixie Bikes

It has been 10 years since I rode my mountain bike. My dad bought me one, for me to cycle to office during my days in Serdang. It was 5 minutes ride from my apartment to my office. It was fun but the challenge was I need to bring it down via lift! So I didn't bother to ride it again...and I left it alone, rusty and dusty at washing area.

When I moved out from the house, again, I didn't bother to bring it along with me. (Sorry dad.) That was not the point. Now, Adib told me that she's going to have a healthy session with Fyzal at Putrajaya. They gonna ride their new bikes, a.k.a fixie bikes, that just newly bought 5 months after she bought her mountain bikes. Crazy rich huh?
A fixed-gear bicycle (or fixed-wheel bicycle, commonly known in the USA as a fixie) is a bicycle that has no freewheel, meaning it cannot coast — the pedals are always in motion when the bicycle is moving.

The sprocket is screwed directly onto a fixed hub. When the rear wheel turns, the pedals turn in the same direction.[1] This allows a cyclist to stop without using a brake, by resisting the rotation of the cranks, and also to ride in reverse.

Track cycling in a velodrome has always used fixed-gear track bikes, but fixed-gear bicycles are now again used on the road,[2] a trend generally seen as being led by bicycle messengers.[3]

Recently, fixed-gear bikes have emerged as part of the hipster trend due to their appeal as a "vintage" accessory.

So, she offered us to borrow their newly-old mountain bikes, to ride along with them. Hubby and I straight away agreed, since it has been too long we never exercise. (I bought one badminton racket that I only played once.) So, why not?

We then went to her house and picked up the other two bikes.

"O.M.G...how should we put these two bikes in the car? They (tires) are huge!" I said.

"We try first...one on the back seat, one in the boot..."

"How did they do it?! Waja bigger is it?"
I wondered.

"I guess so...we try first."

Guess what...we took almost an hour to put these two bikes in!!! Seriously we don't know how to arrange them in place, plus, we unable to remove the front tires coz these type of bikes have gears!!! Tension gile!!!
Looking up, its going to rain. I smsed Adib and told her, whatever it is, I WANT to ride this bike! Even if it's rain. Hahaha! And so we did ride :)
Meeting point.

Adib showing her muscle.

Fyzal showing his skill.

Me, trying fixie. Awesome bike!
Healthy is Love. Love is Healthy.
Till we ride again :)

P/S: How we managed to put back the bikes in the car? Well, we left it to the pros. Now, my two butts hurt!!! Ouch!!!

Mencari Kenalan Melalui Majalah

Masih teringat kisah bodoh yang penah aku buat masa nak mencari kenalan melalui majalah. Korang penah buat tak?

Dulu masa Form 1-Form 3, aku tinggal kat asrama.

Jangan lupa kerat gambar tu skali, kang dah tak ingat plak ngan sapa ko nak berkenalan.

So what I did, aku ternampak la sorang mamat ni yang berambut ala-ala Aaron Kwok/Leonardo DiCaprio (huish masa tu suka gile kat diorang dua ni), patu aku pun tulis la surat kat budak tu.
Sedap mengayat, tetiba ternampak alamat rumah dia.
Konon, what a coincident la kan!

Sampai sudah...aku tak dapat apa-apa balasan pun dari budak tu. Mesti hati kering baca surat aku yang lawak cam sial tu kan? Kahkahkahkah!

P.Ramlee @ History Asia

Bravo for Suhaimi Baba for her 12years documentary project of Tan Sri P.Ramlee. I was so shocked to know the real true story that never been told. (No wonder she can get all footage from deceased people.)

I didn't know that :

1) Mariani was a Singapore ex-beauty queen. She was gorgeous!
2) Mariani was P.Ramlee first crush before Saloma.

3) Norizan was a Perak ex-queen. Wife to a Sultan, before Sultan Idris.
4) P.Ramlee was heartbroken with Studio Merdeka. They promised him everything but nothing.

5) Malaysia didn't respect P.Ramlee and booed him on stage. Stupid Malaysian!

6) P.Ramlee was broke to death due to someone's summon. But he was generous to help people in need.

7) HM Shah was DV8 owner and a good friend of P.Ramlee. He helped P.Ramlee a lot!

8) Saloma adored P.Ramlee and wanted to marry him, and Mariani gave her a way.
9) Saloma used to stay in Australia and sang in Melbourne. I bet she came from a rich family.

10) Norizan slapped Mariani and Saloma told Norizan that she will take P.Ramlee from Norizan. And she did. Haha!

11) P.Ramlee didn't allow Saloma to do house chores. Sit and looks pretty all the time, and Mariani did the cooking. WOW!

Whatever it is, pity P. Ramlee...Malaysian ONLY respect him AFTER he died. You need to pay for what you've done, Malaysia!

He was and still the greatest! And no one can replace him. Period.
(And please don't try to sing his songs in new way of styles...tak sedap lah...)

P/S: Btw, former Shaw Studio Manager, Mr.Kwek, told that P.Ramlee has plenty of money, "eat also cannot finish", but what happened to that money ya? Hmm...
