Though I am from Perak, I always fancy a Negeri Sembilan
house, particularly on its wide pointed roof. I used to dream of having a “kampung”
house, for I really love the loveliness and antiqueness of wooden house. The
sound of cracking floor, the sound of drizzling rain on the roof, grill-less
windows and doors, and the most that I really want to have is, the long "serambi" (corridor)
to lepak. Best kan? But I know, a combination of wood and craft will cost me a bomb, nowadays!!
And so I went to Negeri Sembilan, for food hunting (read this entry.) Fooled by "Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan", we changed the mood to heritage hunting.
Istana Ampang Tinggi (Ampang Tinggi Castle) and Rumah Negeri Sembilan (Negri House) have it all.
Both structures located at Taman Seni Budaya (Culture Park), next to the State
Museum, right at the heart of Negeri Sembilan. These two amazing edifice are
actually a replication of the real heritage, somewhere in Port Dickson.
Ok, I wont elaborate more on the history (you can read the
details at hubby’s website).
What I wanted to show you is the prettiness of the structures. It was purely a photography session for me, for this was just a day after I bought my new gear, Canon 650D. Whilst, hubby is testing a loan wide lens. #StillLearningForCreativeShots
Enjoy!

If and only if I did my outdoor wedding session here, with "songket" and huge sanggul in "selendang batik". I WANT THIS HOUSE, can I take it back? (Minus the deer, of course.)
P/S: Coming
